Deposit / Payment Policy:
A valid credit card is required at time of booking however payment is processed upon stay unless an advance purchase rate type or special event period rates apply where payment will be taken at time of booking.
All Visa, MasterCard, Diners Card transactions incur a 1.5% surcharge
American Express transactions incur a 3% surcharge
A $250 cash deposit or a $100 pre authorization on a valid credit card is required at point of check in per room for all bookings.
Cancellations may be made 24 hours prior to arrival (2pm the day prior to arrival date) with no charge incurred. Cancellations made within 24 hours will be charged the total of the first nights accommodation. Bookings on Advance Purchase rates or Special Event Periods will result in forfeit of entire stay charge, no cancellations or changes available on these rate types.

Grand Hotel and Apartments Townsville has a zero tolerance policy on parties being held in the apartments and disruption to other guests. A party being defined as:
- Any situation where the maximum number of guests allowed per apartment is exceeded
- Any situation where the noise level from the apartment is deemed too high thereby disturbing other hotel guests and/or the apartment residents
- Any situation whereby excessive traffic to/from the apartment is identified
- Any situation where it is deemed that intoxication is occurring
- Any situation where it is identified that excessive alcohol is present
In the event that any apartment/guest is identified as having a party, the hotel reserves the right to immediately request all occupants of the apartment up to, and including, the guest who has registered for the apartment to vacate the premises.
In the event that an eviction does occur, the registered guest will be charged for that night’s accommodation and for any expense resulting from additional cleaning of the apartment, replacement of any furniture/fixture/fitting breakage, as well as for any required repairs.

Grand Hotel and Apartments Townsville will guarentee that the the best rate available is made direct at the hotel.
This offer excludes all opague rates such as mystery hotel deals and applies only to sites where Grand Hotel and Apartments Townsville directly shares rates and inventory with.
Websites such as Trivago, Otel.com, Webjet, Amoma.com (and other sites not listed) are excluded from this offer as Grand Hotel and Apartments Townsville does not have a direct relationship with these sites and can not guarentee the accuracy of their content, rates and available inventory.
The hotel must be contacted and be able to book a lower rate through a 3rd party website at the same time as showing a higher rate on the www.grandhoteltownsville.com.au website. Grand Hotel and Apartments Townsville will determine if the rate and available room type is actually lower on the 3rd party website for this guarentee to apply.
Undercover and off-street car parking is subject to availability and is on a first come first served basis. Car spaces are limited and Grand Hotel and Apartments Townsville does not guarantee car park availability. Daily fees apply for undercover car parking. By Parking your vehicle at Grand Hotel and Apartments Townsville you accept any loss or damage caused by any means to any and all personal property.
All rooms and public areas are completely non smoking. If smoke odour is detected a cleaning fee of $220 may be charged plus any additional costs incurred by the hotel as a result.
Any room left in an unreasonable state requiring additional cleaning, repairs to any component to the room not limited to walls, floors, furniture and fittings will be charged to the guest registered for the room. A cleaning fee of $220 will apply plus any incurred costs to the hotel for labour, parts etc resulting from unreasonable damages.
Should the fire alarm be triggered in your room caused by any means associated with your stay, behavior and/or activity any fees past on to the hotel from the Fire Department will be payable and charged to the registered guest in the room. Fees in excess of $1100 per incident may apply.
Use of guest facilities:
The Pool, Spa and Gymnasium are opened 06:30 am until 21:00 daily. No life guard is on duty at the pool. Use of any of the hotel facilities is undertaken at your own risk and children must be supervised at all times.
The safety of our guests and employees is our primary concern and we have implemented the following initiatives to ensure that we reduce the risk of COVID-19 whist continuing to serve our guests effectively;
- At the time of check-in we ask for you cooperation in declaring whether you have visited or transited though a high and moderate risk country; or have been in close contact with a confirmed coronavirus case.
- The hotel has increased its schedule of cleaning and disinfecting in common areas of the hotel, hotel rooms and back of house areas.
- Hand sanitising stations (alcohol based antibacterial) have been established.
- Protocols are in place to assist any guest that may feel unwell.
